So, I’m in the kitchen getting myself a drink, and Ariana comes tearing into the room, Pink Pig waving in the air behind her. She asks me what I’m making (that’s usually the way she says that she’s hungry and wants something to eat). I tell her I’m getting a drink, and then I’m going to tickle her. She then asks me what’s in the recipe for that. I ask her “the recipe for tickles?” She says yeah. I put down my drink, tell her that all you need are fingers and a tickly spot, and I begin to tickle her until she shrieks with laughter and starts to tickle me back.

Being online sixteen hours a day as I am, I tend to do a lot of web surfing when I need a break from whatever I’m working on. I happened across the website of Holly Lisle. While I have to admit I don’t think I’ve read anything of hers, I did find a valuable book in her online store: Holly Lisle’s Create A Language Clinic. I’ve already started working through it to create one of the languages for the world the Novel In Progress is set in. The book is really easy to follow, and definitely well planned. I’m looking forward to seeing how well it works in practice.

I finally got through the crap I’ve had to deal with and into a frame of mind that is allowing me to actually write. Hooray! I was able to finish the revisions for Chapter Four of the Work In Progress. If things keep going as well as they have been, I’ll be able to write the next chapter of the Gates of Amduat and get that posted by Sunday night.

I just read a perfect description of a game I was in, written by a friend many, many moons ago:

Fun game, kinda like a soap opera with periodic demon invasions.
