Still Here.

I hope everyone who celebrated it had a good Thanksgiving. We went to visit my parents and, as usual, I got sick. Allergies, mainly. Good thing I hadn’t intended on doing much work or writing while we were there.
On the up side, I finished Holly Lisle’s Create a Language Clinic and created Kharet, the language of one of the ancient cultures in Kolrath. I also read through and started on her Create a Culture Clinic to define the culture that spoke that language. I am very pleased with both of the books, and their purchase was an excellent investment.

And the mad dash for freedom.

This is it, folks. I’ve already done some writing this morning, and I’ve got less than 3000 words to go. I’ve rounded the last corner, and the finish line is in sight!

NaNoWriMo Day 20

Today’s word count is 2439, for a total of 46,522. My hands are cold and are starting to hurt, so I’m done for the evening. Didn’t get 3000 words, but that’s no surprise. Had to run a bunch of errands during the day, and then it was parent/teacher conferences, and then Heroes. (Man, I love that show.)
So, after today’s effort, that leaves me 3478 to write to get me to 50k. I’m going to do my best to get it done. I don’t want to do any writing on Wednesday if I can help it. Besides, if I hit 50k tomorrow, I get a reward. Yippee!

What Kind of Role Player Are You?
Filed Under Gaming Stuff | Leave a Comment
You scored as Character Player. The Character Player enjoys creating in-depth characters with distinct and rich personalities. He identifies closely with his characters, feeling detached from the game if he doesnâ??t. He takes creative pride in exploring different characters, often making each new one radically different than others he’s played. The Character Player bases his decisions on his character’s psychology first and foremost. He may view rules as a necessary evil at best, preferring sessions in which the dice never come out of their bags. For the Character Player, the greatest reward comes from experiencing the game from the emotional perspective of an interesting character.
