The second page of the Domino Girls web comic went up yesterday.

Actually, I got this several days ago from my hubby, but I’m just getting around to posting it here.

The Internet; where the men are men, the women are men, the little girls are FBI agents, and the occasional really and for true woman gets spammed with photos of male genetalia.

Don’t ask me who said it, I don’t know.

Once in a while, songs get stuck in my head. This time, it’s a song from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. No, not Merry-Go-Round Broke Down, thank goodness. It’s the one Jessica Rabbit sings at the club at the beginning of the movie. Here’s the lyrics:

Why Don’t You Do Right
(performed by Amy Irving)

You had plenty of money in 1922.
You let other women make a fool of you.
Why don’t you do right,
like some other men do?

Get out of here,
get me some money too.

You’re sittin down and wonderin what it’s all about.
If you ain’t got no money, they will put you out.
why don’t you do right,
like some other men do?

Get out of here,
get me some money too.

Now if you had prepared 20 years ago.
You wouldn’t be a wanderin now from door to door.
Why don’t you do right,
like some other men do?

Get out of here,
get me some money too.

Get out of here,
get me some money too.

Why don’t you do right, like some other men do?

Man, I love that song. My singing voice is acceptable, but it’s times like this that makes me wish I could perform stuff like this.

For those of you who have cared about my writing, and have wondering how Storm King’s Eye has been progressing, it’s time for an update. I’ve decided to set Storm King’s Eye aside for now. I still have all my notes and everything for the Clockwork Portal trilogy, and that won’t be going away.

I have, instead, decided to work on getting The Morgan Affair, the novel I started for NaNoWriMo back in November. I like SKE and the following books I’d planned. They’re stories I want to tell. Right now, though, The Morgan Affair is a story I want other people to read. Hopefully everyone understands the difference.

It’s also come down to a matter of practicality. In today’s market, it’ll probably be easier for me to sell TMA in the current marketplace than it would be to sell SKE. Still, having SKE and the rest of the trilogy there will be a good thing, because after I’ve sold TMA, I can say “by the way, I do have a fantasy trilogy in the works…”.
