Wasted Morning Hours

I woke up an hour and a half earlier than usual and decided that rather than going back to bed I’d try to get some writing in. So what happened? I ended up starting at the computer screen for an hour, doing nothing productive. I’m just now getting my mind into a setting where I can write this entry.

I have to say I’m rather disappointed by my inability to get writing this morning. I even followed my usual morning routine, but no luck. Maybe some tea will help.

Anyway, today’s agenda includes working on TMA Chapter 5. I’ve kind of stalled on the new stuff I’m adding. Alex has to talk to the police (yet again) and I’ve got no idea how to handle it. I may have to break with my usual method and do some research. I’d rather not do that, but then again I don’t want to have a notation of in the ms when I send it out to my reading group. They can’t crit what I don’t write.

I also need to finish the crit I started yesterday. It’s about half done.

I’m going to be losing a lot of writing time today, so it’s going to be difficult. It’s only a half day of school for the kids today, plus I have to go buy boots for Munchkin #1, plus it’s parent/teacher conferences today. The entire afternoon is going to be gone.

Transfer Complete

I initiated the domain hosting transfer, and it’s worked for everything but the comic. I’ll be following up on this this afternoon.

In the meantime, I actually got some writing done! I wrote about half a page of new stuff for TMA, plus I created synopsis of the first four chapters. Go me! :)

Happy Dance!

As y’all may know, I’m the owner of Hart-Felt Productions, a small publishing company that produces books for pen and paper (as opposed to computer games) role playing games. The first two books in my Kandris Seal line were published in the past two weeks, and the main book (which has all the world info and rules specific to the setting) was given away for free yesterday as part of a huge Thanksgiving promotion.

So, here’s why I’m doing a happy dance:

  1. The Kandris Seal (Modern d20) was downloaded 1472 times at last count.
  2. The first review of it was posted yesterday, and it was 5 stars!

The perfect “gift” to help me recover from the bad mood I was in yesterday.

Busy Weekend

The weekend was a busy one for me, with errands being run and getting the second book in the Kandris Seal line out the doors. I succeeded in that - the book went live yesterday. Today will be spent finishing up the revisions of Chapter 5, which still aren’t done. I also need to finish up another product for sale and get that out, but I don’t know if I’m going to have time to do that.

So much to do, and so little time.
