• Happy Hallowe’en everyone! #
  • @chartjes You’re scary, even without a costume. :P #
  • @tamlynleigh No particular station. I’m working on something using a fictional abandoned station, and want to make a map of it. #

  • Still sick but feeling better than yesterday. #
  • Does anyone know where I can find a floorplan of a station that’s part of the London Underground? #
  • How do you know when the chicken stock you’re making from scratch is done? When the carcass disintegrates into individual bones and bits. #

  • Lookd like my allergies have morphed into a cold. Don’t expect to see much of me online for the near future. #

  • Had a lousy weekend. Now that everyone’s gone and the house is quiet, maybe I can get some work done. #
  • Hm. It’s been a long time since I’ve done any backups. Probably ought to do that for the important stuff. #
  • Still slugging away at Chapter 9. Taking longer than I expected to make the fixes. #
  • Yay! Finished Chapter 9. Just to do some last minute checks before I post it up to my writing group. #
  • I don’t think I should be hearing a whistling noise every time I breathe in or out. Time to look for my medicine. #

It’s definitely fall here in Michigan. High of 47 F today, with really high winds. I had to run out to the store this morning to get some stuff for the kids - and I just remembered I forgot to get the paper plates for Donovan’s class’ party of Friday. I’ll run out later in the week and get them.

I got hardly any writing done this weekend - maybe 100 words revised, if I’m lucky. Too much going on, plus my allergies are kicking my butt. Things are better today, and it showed in my productivity. I backed up all my work files onto a DVD-R, and my novel, current project and writing group files onto a thumb drive. I need to see about getting a big external drive to do proper full-system backups. Something to brave the stores during Thanksgiving for, I think.

Work on TMA has progressed. Chapter 9 is now done. It’s significantly shorter than it was before. The chapter originally had two scenes. I decided, though, to put a chapter break in at the end of the first scene. It’s a natural ending point. I’m going to take a day off from working on TMA to do some more crits for my writing group, and see how many extras I can fit in before November comes. Not that are many days left before November’s here, but I can hope, right? :)
