Last Gasp of Winter?
Filed Under News | Leave a Comment
Took the day off yesterday, so I could look after my daughter and myself, and try to get rid of this darned cold. Good thing I didn’t need to go anywhere, as it was down to 8 degrees (F). I’m hoping this will be the last of the really cold weather. I hate the cold.
Today, however, has been business as usual. Working on a new symbol set for Campaign Cartographer 2. It’s a hand drawn symbol set I’m designing for the Kolrath campaign setting I hope to publish in 2007. The symbol catalog, though, will be published before before then.
I’m also trying to finish up a long overdue project for Battlefield Press. I need to get this done ASAP.

Ten Minutes A Day
Filed Under News | Leave a Comment
One of the blogs I read is WWdN and he said he’s trying to write for at least ten minutes every day. I’m going to try and do that too. Not just for this blog, but just writing in general.
So, here’s my first ten minutes for today. :) Or at least the beginning of it, while I go to work on another project.

Goodbye, G’Kar. We’ll miss you.

Andreas Katsulas, the actor who played G’Kar on the series Babylon 5, died of lung cancer on February 13.

In another blog I read, the author quoted another blogger who had posted some dialog that G’Kar had said in the show:
“I believe that when we leave a place a part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in these halls, when it is quiet and just listen. After a while you will hear the echoes of all of our conversations, every thought and word we’ve exchanged. Long after we are gone, our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit that the part of me that going will very much miss the part of you that is staying.”
These words are so true. And not just for Katsulas, but for anyone who manages to touch our lives.

Blue Eyed Shadow
Filed Under News, Personal, Webcomic | Leave a Comment
I love webcomics. One of these days I’m going to get around to putting links up for all the comics I read on a regular basis. (For those of you who keep score, there’s 40 or so of them on my list.) I think they’re an excellent venue for storytelling, and, like so many other people, I’ve decided to throw my hat into the ring.I’ve started up my own webcomic. Well, it’s a comic in that it’s got art in it. I’d call it more an illustrated novel. It will be a combination of standard comic pages (you know, the kind with panels and stuff) and pages of text with supporting illustrations. I will be doing all the writing, of course, and I intend to do most if not all of the art.
Hey now, Chris, stop laughing. It’s not that funny.
For those of you who are interested in reading it, it’s called Blue Eyed Shadow. Right now, there’s no set schedule for updating. It will get done as I have time.
