Update on the Domino Girls and the WIP
Add comment May 17th, 2007
The latest installment (Page 16) of the Domino Girls went live in the wee hours of the morning this morning. It’s coming along really well, I think, and our readership is slowly but steadily growing. David and I are working ahead, trying to keep as large as a buffer as we can in case something happens and we have to put a hold on working on pages. In fact, I’m putting together pages 24 and 25 over the next couple of days. David’s working on page 26 (the last page of Slow River #1), and I’m working on the script for the first four pages of Slow River #2.
I’ve gotten feedback from my writing group for the third chapter of The Morgan Affair. The most common comment I’ve gotten is about the lack of tension and conflict. In fact, one of the members said the writing was great, but what’s the point of it if there’s no tension, nothing to hook the reader. I have to agree with that statement, so that’s something I have to work on. I just need to decide if I’m going to continue working forwards, or if I should go back and work on the first three chapters some more.
