For example, I came up with “In a post-apocalyptic Victorian Britain, a young milquetoast office drone comes across a talking fish which spurs him into conflict with his own insecurity vis-a-vis girls with the help of a leather-clad female in shades and her cleavage culminating in a cliffhanger for the sake of prompting a series.”

It’s a lot of fun, and I recommend you check it out.

In my speeding through the web, looking for sites of interest and inspiration, I happened across a site with homeschooling resources. There was one document about the months of the year. That reminded me of a little trick my mom taught me when I was a kid – and easy way to remember how many days were in any particular month. All you need is your hands.

Make two fists, and starting from the knuckle of the little finger of your left hand, count the months across. So, the first knuckle is January, the valley next to it is February, the next knuckle is March, the next valley is April, and so on. When you get to July, you move across to your right hand and keep moving to the right, so the knuckle of your index finger is August, the valley next to that is September, and so on. Any month that “lands” on a knuckle has 31 days; any in a valley has 30, except for February, which has 28 (or 29 in a leap year).

I hope that makes sense to everyone who reads it. If it doesn’t let me know. Similar Posts:
