Wasted Morning Hours

I woke up an hour and a half earlier than usual and decided that rather than going back to bed I’d try to get some writing in. So what happened? I ended up starting at the computer screen for an hour, doing nothing productive. I’m just now getting my mind into a setting where I can write this entry.

I have to say I’m rather disappointed by my inability to get writing this morning. I even followed my usual morning routine, but no luck. Maybe some tea will help.

Anyway, today’s agenda includes working on TMA Chapter 5. I’ve kind of stalled on the new stuff I’m adding. Alex has to talk to the police (yet again) and I’ve got no idea how to handle it. I may have to break with my usual method and do some research. I’d rather not do that, but then again I don’t want to have a notation of in the ms when I send it out to my reading group. They can’t crit what I don’t write.

I also need to finish the crit I started yesterday. It’s about half done.

I’m going to be losing a lot of writing time today, so it’s going to be difficult. It’s only a half day of school for the kids today, plus I have to go buy boots for Munchkin #1, plus it’s parent/teacher conferences today. The entire afternoon is going to be gone.
